Short History Of The School
SK DESA PUTRA, formally known as SK RKT SG. MERAB was built in 1964 with only a block comprising three classes. It was officially opened by the Menteri Besar of Selangor, YB En. Harun Bin Idris on Wednesday, 29 July 1964.
From her humble beginning, SK DESA PUTRA has changed tremendously both in terms of size and academic achievements. Now SK DESA PUTRA has seven blocks of building and nine houses for her staff.
In 2003, 8 candidates obtained 5As in UPSR; the highest achievement recorded so far. SK DESA PUTRA is always on the move to achieve her goals.

To produce students who would be able to contribute to their religion, race and the country in the near future.
